Number of major public art pieces set to be unveiled

Giant slices of tree trunks cast in bronze have appeared in the middle of Brackenridge Park. Glowing, brightly colored boxes enliven the roadway entrance to the airport. A light show to rival anything in "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" is set to illuminate downtown underpasses along Interstate 37 at Commerce and Houston streets.
